Students Getting InvolvedSummer Food Service Program

Did you know your students can receive FREE lunch and snacks during the summer months or their off-track time?

The Summer Food Service Program, known as the “Summer Lunch Program” provides free nutritious lunches and snacks to youth ages 1 through 18 at City of Los Angeles, Department of Recreation and Parks recreation centers. The goal of the program is to ensure children receive at least one nutritious and balanced meal per day when school is not in session.

The Department of Recreation and Parks, Summer Food Service Program, manages the program for the City of Los Angeles. The City of Los Angeles is one of several area sponsors and one of the largest in the state.

The Summer Food Service Program is open to all youth ages 1 through 18.
